Key Responsibilities\nIn this role, you will engage with patients and families experiencing a variety of mental health challenges related to terminal diagnoses. Your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to understand each patient's unique emotional and psychological needs. \n
- Developing individualized treatment plans rooted in evidence-based modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). \n
- Providing ongoing psychotherapy sessions, tailored to each client’s preferences and needs, to promote emotional healing and improve overall well-being. \n
- Maintaining detailed clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensuring confidentiality of patient information. \n
- Collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and other mental health professionals, to ensure a coordinated approach to care. \n
- Participating in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to discuss clinical strategies and enhance treatment outcomes. \n
- Empowering patients and their families through education about mental health, available treatment options, and community resources to support their coping skills during difficult times. \n
The primary focus of this role will be the hospice population, including individuals facing terminal illnesses and their families. You will be instrumental in navigating complex emotional landscapes, providing necessary support for grief, loss, and adjustment through both individual and family-based therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. \n
- A valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia. \n
- At least 3 years of clinical experience, with a demonstrable focus on psychotherapy services. \n
- Proficiency in using solution-based psychotherapy methods and techniques. \n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for building trusting relationships with clients. \n

- Experience in end-of-life care and understanding of hospice philosophy. \n
- Familiarity with the unique challenges faced by patients with terminal illnesses. \n
