Investment Banking Associate - Los Angeles Generalist (Financial Sponsors, REGAL, Industrials)

As an Associate in Santander's Los Angeles Investment Banking coverage team, your responsibilities will span a wide range of quantitative and qualitative skills, with strong emphasis on project management, mentorship of junior staff and client interaction. Associates will develop technical mastery and deal execution skills across all investment banking products including M&A, LevFin and ECM while building a robust professional network, both internally and externally.
Support senior bankers in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across three coverage groups: Financial Sponsors, Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging & Leisure ("REGAL") and Industrial Services.
Prepare client presentations, pitch books and financial analyses including the development, management and review of financial models, valuation analyses and transaction documentation.
Adhere to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with all applicable regulatory standards, requirements and policies

Bachelor's degree or equivalent: in Finance, Business or equivalent degree - Required.
Master's Degree / MBA - Preferred.
~ Work Experience:
~3+ Years Finance, Business or related field/sector - Required.

Demonstrated knowledge of corporate finance and investment banking products, with a preference for experience in Financial Sponsors, Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging & Leisure ("REGAL") and / or Industrial Services.
Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint with advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
