Bilingual Direct Support Professional (DSP)

 

English & Spanish Speaking | Chester County, PA

At Peace Healthcare Agency is looking for compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Bilingual Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team and provide meaningful support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We are especially seeking candidates who are fluent in both English and Spanish and are passionate about helping individuals live with greater independence, dignity, and confidence.

 

Position Details

Location: Chester County, PA
Service Areas Include: West Chester, Coatesville, Downingtown, Kennett Square, Oxford, Exton, Malvern, West Grove, Parkesburg, Honey Brook, and surrounding areas

Position: Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Employment Type: Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available
Language Requirement: English and Spanish preferred/required based on client needs

 

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities

• Assist with daily living activities and personal care as needed

• Support individuals in developing independence and achieving personal goals

• Assist with community activities, appointments, and social engagement

• Provide transportation or accompany individuals to community activities when required

• Communicate effectively with individuals, families, caregivers, and the care team

• Maintain accurate documentation of services and activities

• Follow individualized support plans and agency policies

• Promote a safe, respectful, and supportive environment

 

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish

• Previous DSP, caregiver, direct care, home care, or healthcare experience is preferred

• Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus

• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and responsible

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable transportation may be required depending on the assignment

• Must be able to successfully complete required background checks and onboarding requirements
