Summary To deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies. We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Plastic Surgery Nurse to support both surgical and non-surgical procedures. The Plastic Surgery Nurse should have experience in patient care, highly organized and comfortable working in a surgical setting. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: Previous experience in plastic surgery, dermatology, or surgical nursing Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Knowledge of sterile techniques and patient safety protocols Experience with EMR systems preferred Operating Room or procedural nursing experience Patient education and care coordination Responsibilities: Assist surgeons during in-office procedures Prepare patients for surgery, including pre-op education and documentation Provide post-operative care and patient instructions Monitor patient recovery and respond to concerns or complications Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulations Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient clinical environment Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, and evaluate the care of cancer patients and families. Integrates patient and family centered care and the quality caring factors into practice Identifies, documents, and provides patient education based on learning needs of the patient Participates in Evidence based improvement activities related to area of practice Participates in professional development based on the nursing professionals standards, regulatory requirements, and job expectations Credentials and Qualifications: BSN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with at least 1 year of relevant experience or ASN from an ACEN or CCNE accredited institution with 1 year of relevant experience FL RN License An applicant for this position, who will be or is seeking Florida licensure by endorsement, must not have any National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) reports, unless the applicant has successfully appealed to have their name removed from the NPDB.
