BASIC FUNCTION/PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Maintain facilities in accordance with standards and procedures of the Buildings and Grounds Department. Perform duties of providing safe, orderly learning environments for students, staff, and the community with emphasis on improving student achievement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

A. Perform building repair and preventive maintenance at all district facilities, such as roof repair, floor repair, glass replacement, masonry repair, interior and exterior finishes, door repair, window repair, and hardware repairs.

B. Perform furniture and furnishing repair work, such as repair desks, tables, benches, etc.

C. Perform site maintenance and repair work at all district facilities.

D. Perform maintenance and repair work on lock hardware and systems.

E. Keys/keying systems.

F. Operate and perform maintenance and repair of electronic security hardware, software, and system.

G. Operate and perform maintenance and repairs of electronic surveillance hardware, software, and system.

H. Support remodel and construction work at all district facilities.

I. Install corkboards and bulletin boards, install furniture such as shelves, cabinets, and counters.

J. Conduct authorized financial transactions per procurement requirements.

K. Manager of Buildings and Grounds and immediate supervisor will determine work schedule.

L. Maintain assigned vehicles, tools, and equipment.

M. Maintain confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters.

N. Monitor and comply with federal, state, and district policies and procedures.

O. Perform other related duties as assigned.
