Description

American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Progressive Care Unit position requiring an active MI license and tele cardiac experience.

Details

• Work in the PCU Cardiac Step Down unit of a 268-bed full-service hospital with a Level II trauma center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
• All-telemetry patient population with a 4:1 ratio, occasionally stretching to 5:1
• Uses Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule, 7p-7:15a
• Required to work every other weekend and holiday
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to other PCU/Med Surg floors may be required

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Tele cardiac experience required
• Skills checklist current to 1 year pertinent to PCU required
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last two years required

Additional Information

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs
• Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care based on patient needs
• Evaluate patient progress and correlate with nursing knowledge to determine goal achievement
• Consult and collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and implement total patient care
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Recent travel work history highly preferred
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered, limited to one 13-week contract
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested
