Job Summary We are hiring a skilled and detail‑oriented Concrete Finisher to join our construction crew. This role is responsible for placing, finishing, and repairing concrete on a variety of job sites including foundations, slabs, sidewalks, curbs, and more. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with concrete work, a solid understanding of construction techniques, and a commitment to producing high‑quality finishes. Key Responsibilities Set and align concrete forms for sidewalks, curbs, pads, and slabs Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and screeds Smooth and finish surfaces using hand tools (trowels, floats, edgers, jointers) Apply textures or surface treatments as specified (broom finish, stamped, etc.) Monitor weather conditions and adjust finishing techniques accordingly Cut control joints and edges for proper expansion and appearance Cure surfaces using appropriate compounds and methods Ensure quality control, proper thickness, slope, and surface integrity Read and interpret blueprints or drawings as needed Maintain tools and equipment in clean, working order Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver Safely operating power vibrator to ensure the concrete is compacted Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools Polishing surface using a power surfacing machine Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications / Requirements 2+ years of concrete finishing experience preferred Must be at least 18 years of age Strong knowledge of concrete tools, techniques, and materials Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment Comfortable with standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 75 lbs Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area Physical Requirements Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods: Constantly Moving about to accomplish tasks at a worksite or moving from one worksite to another: Constantly Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, such as stooping, kneeling, or crouching: ConstantlyAdjusting, moving and lifting objects in all directions: Constantly Talking and hearing to communicate with others: Constantly Seeing to perform job duties at close range, such as monitors or screens: Rarely Seeing to perform job duties at a distance, such as driving or operating equipment: Occasionally Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers: Constantly Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps or poles: Occasionally Operating machinery and/or power tools: Constantly Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment: Constantly Ability to travel regionally or nationally: Never Physical Demands Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing: Constantly Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds: Constantly Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds: Constantly Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more: Occasionally Working Conditions Low temperatures: Occasionally High temperatures: Occasionally Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind: Occasionally Noisy environments: Occasionally Hazardous conditions: Rarely Shift work, to include overnight work: Occasionally Frequent overtime, including weekends: Occasionally Office environment: Rarely Benefits Pave America and its companies offers a comprehensive, competitive, and inclusive set of health, financial and other benefits that support your total well‑being.
