Webber, an industry leader in construction and infrastructure, is seeking a dynamic Operations Accountant to join our team.Your Role: Driving excellence through technical expertise and innovationThe Operations Accountant is part of the Accounting Department and is responsible for the detailed evaluation of project contracts and related documents. In reviewing these documents, the Operations Accountant will identify risk and exposure and then communicate these items to appropriate levels within the organization.What You Will Do:Analyze project documents and develop reports for heavy civil construction projectsWrite accruals and deferrals sharing this information with project managers and the Finance teamVerify that the quantities claimed match the owner's estimateDeeply analyze budgets and job costs and provide Project Managers of items left behind budget and areas of riskReview, audit, and make suggestions related to job costs during the bi-annual Budget Revision cyclePrepare financial reports from multiple data points for use by the management team and external partiesAssist in the development of regular periodic budgets which help Webber to prepare for long-term strategic plansCreate, review, share, and respond to periodic reports including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly basisGenerate ad-hoc payroll reports as requestedLog and report information by inputting information into Microsoft Excel. Create documents in Microsoft WordMaintain an organized work area, filing system, E-mail inbox, and to-do list ensuring that goals and activities are completed on timePrioritize and manage multiple work projects simultaneouslyWho You Are: A Profile of SuccessMinimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or FinanceConstruction related work experience will be a plusHigh level of proficiency in operating MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Access and MS PowerPointAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
