Position Overview and Responsibilities United States of Care (USofCare) is seeking a Project Assistant. This is a full time, salary position with an end date of 10/31/2027. The Project Assistant will support a USofCare project to conduct on the ground listening and turn the findings into actionable policy in 6 states. The Project Assistant will provide overall project administrative, coordination, and logistics support for the duration of the project, including but not limited to supporting the project team with scheduling; meeting, travel and event logistics and preparation; organizing documents and materials; tracking and coordinating work and project deliverables across departments; assist with tracking project expenses and invoices; communicating with external partners; and assisting with writing, creation of slide decks, and proofreading; and research to contribute to reports, presentations, resources, blog posts, op-eds, and other communication materials about the project as needed. The Project Assistant will be overseen by the State Policy & Project Associate Director, working in close collaboration with the project team. The Project Assistant is entrepreneurial, collaborative, passionate about health care policy, has strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and manages to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. They manage up on progress of assignments and are eager to pitch in when needed. Required: One-two years of professional experience, which can include internships; professional work experience in health policy or project coordination preferred; Experience with remote tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom) and familiarity with Google Sheets, Excel and other project management tools; Ability to travel and work occasional nights and weekends, as necessary. Work at United States of Care USofCare is committed to equity in our compensation policy. The salary for this position is $50,000, annually. This position is a salary non-exempt, full-time position. United States of Care offers a very generous benefits package including phone and internet stipends, medical, dental, vision, life, and long term disability insurance, and a 403b retirement plan with 5% employer match. USofCare’s paid time off includes accrued sick time, an unlimited vacation policy, paid parental and medical leave, and office closures throughout the year for holidays and breaks. A full summary of benefits is available upon request. This is a full time, time-bound position with an end date of 10/31/2027 and is an at-will position. The funding for this position is provided by a limited term grant. This position is fully remote, and requires occasional travel. Candidates may be located anywhere in the United States.
