Learn About a Day in the Life of a Med-Surg RN:Responsibilities:

• The Charge Nurse in the Medical/Surgical Unit possesses leadership abilities, authority, and accountability for nursing care delivery, utilizing the nursing process.
• As a representative of the leadership team (including the director, manager, nursing supervisor, clinical preceptor, and/or house supervisor), they are expected to conduct themselves accordingly.

Qualifications:

• Job Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing is mandatory.
  • Must hold a valid RN license in the State of New Jersey.
  • BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role, prior to engaging in direct patient care.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Staff RN in a Medical/Surgical unit is essential.
• Preferred Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.

The compensation for this role is based on experience and education, and may include additional pay components such as differentials and call pay depending on the position.
