Echocardiogram Technician - Cardiac Sonographer

Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience worked in the last 12 months.

• High School completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No previous experience allowed for Staff at Facility: CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health.

• No previous experience allowed for Part-Time at Facility: CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Christus Health.

Additional Details:

Required Credentials: - A.R.D.M.S./CCI registered or registry eligible or comparable national accreditation required. - High school diploma or equivalent. Two year allied health education program that is patient care related.

Preferred Credentials: - Allied health occupations include but are not limited to: diagnostic medical sonographer, radiologic technologist, respiratory therapist, occupational therapist, physical therapist and/or registered nurse preferred.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Two years of actively doing echocardiograms preferred.

Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained.

Unit Details: - Performs diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients, including 2D, M-mode, and Doppler cardiac exams. Assists with other cardiac procedures as needed.

Shift & Scheduling: - On-call coverage for echo emergency exams done apart from regular working hours as established by department policy.

14 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 2 years

Proof of identification required

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS)) or the alternative certifications RCS (Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)), ACS (Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI))
