Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Virginia license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - Capital Division.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Trauma experience. - Telemetry experience.

Unit Details: - Trauma telemetry unit with medical-surgical and telemetry level of care. - Specialized aspects of care include complex wounds, administration of blood products, pain management, and management of NG, PEG, feeding tubes, surgical drains, and chest tubes. - Uses telemetry bedside monitors, vein finder, bladder scanner, EKG machine, Doppler, Hoyer lift, glucometer, pulse ox, scales, and wound vac.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend, no call.

Floating Requirements: - Float to Med Surg and telemetry (if certified).

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
