Data Engineer

Location: Washington, D.C. onsiteClearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI, CI PolygraphConstellation West is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support our IC business.Required Qualifications:Active TS/SCI clearance with CI PolygraphMinimum five (5) years of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related technical field.Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline, OR an additional four (4) years of experience in lieu of a degree.Experience automating and orchestrating workloads across various data environments on cloud platforms supporting both classified and unclassified networks.Expertise in building and maintaining the infrastructure storing and processing data; SME in the storage, transfer, and processing of secure, readily available.data Proficient in cloud data services (e.g., AWS, Azure), scripting (e.g., Python, Bash), and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Jenkins).Demonstrated proficiency with data pipeline development, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-native data management.Knowledge of network segmentation, data governance, and cross-domain data transfer considerations.Desired Qualifications:AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent.Master’s degree in STEMExperience working in IC or DoD environments, ideally supporting analytic or repository systems.Key Responsibilities:Lead multiple agency data interconnectivity efforts including managing, analyzing, and transforming large datasets to support mission-critical analytic and operational requirements.Evaluate and recommend data integration opportunities to be used across the IC.Advise as a SME all data engineering projects, ensuring optimal data availability and use.Automate, and optimize data workflows across hybrid cloud platforms on both classified and unclassified networks.Design and build secure, scalable data pipelines and storage infrastructure, enabling real-time and batch processing of structured and unstructured dataManage voluminous data engineering tasks in an agile environments, leading or supporting multiple concurrent projects as assigned.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
