About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Days, Every Other Weekend Hours per Shift: 48 hours per week Experience: 2 years of acute care experience License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification Must-Have: - At least 2 years of acute care experience - Experience titrating drips (Insulin, Heparin, Nitro, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Cardizem) Description: Candidates must not have been employed in any facility associated with this healthcare organization in the past year. Travelers may be required to float to different units to cover staffing needs. Registered Nurses are expected to float throughout the designated region to other assigned locations as needed. Travelers will be required to float to cover various medical/surgical telemetry units. Ratios for Registered Nurses are 4-5 patients per nurse. Certified Nursing Assistants are available to assist with patient care. Registered Nurses are responsible for reading telemetry strips and verifying readings with telemetry technicians. Continuous assessment of patient conditions and the ability to respond to emergencies are essential. Travelers are required to take breaks when offered and cannot refuse them. Expectations include flexibility to float across different specialties within the organization’s medical/surgical telemetry division. Holiday coverage is required during winter holidays. There is a call or standby requirement for staff during the contract duration. Unit-specific orientation will be provided to familiarize staff with care standards.
