Registered Nurse - Rehabilitation

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in an inpatient rehab unit, ensuring optimal recovery and comfort. Administer treatments, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders while maintaining safety standards.
• Monitor patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to therapies, documenting changes accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care, mobility, and safety protocols.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Adapt to changing patient needs and workload demands, demonstrating flexibility and professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in rehab, med-surg, or similar settings.
• Have IV therapy experience and proficiency in using medical equipment such as Baxter pumps, Kangaroo pumps, and mechanical lifts.
• Show strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate patient care effectively.
• Possess active BLS certification; additional certifications such as wound care or stroke rehabilitation are a plus.
• Be flexible with scheduling, including weekend and on-call availability.
