The hourly pay range for this position is $23.57 per hour-$23.57 per hour. Work Hours The work hours for this position are Mon - Fri + Weekends, 6:30 am - 2:00 pm. Key Purpose Janitor/Floor Technicians are responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extraction & bonneting) of areas that include offices, corridors, lobbies, entrances, stairwells, and other public areas such as break rooms. Minimum 1 ½ years’ experience in floor care. Knowledge of how to strip, wax, and burnish floors with minimal to no assistance. Knowledge and experience operating various pieces of equipment such as high-speed buffers, extractors, wet vacs, pressure washers, and auto scrubbers. Janitorial or laborer experience in a facility setting is preferred. Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment. Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills. Key Accountabilities Perform preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use Secure the work area and post proper safety notices for other users of the space prior to beginning work. Floors care, including routine mopping (dry and damp), buffing and burnishing on hard surface floors and stairwells Vacuuming, shampooing, bonneting, and extracting carpets, stairwells, and upholstery Wall cleaning Dusting (high and low) Routine restroom cleaning Routine office and/or break room cleaning Maintenance of floor care equipment Physical Demands & Work Environment To perform the necessary functions and tasks of the job you are required to: Stand 33%, Walk >66%, Sit Use of hands and fingers to touch, handle, grip, feel, grasp Reach above shoulders Push/pull and grasp with hands and arms 33-50% Climb or balance Perform repetitive tasks Must be able to push and pull a minimum of 30 pounds Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 to 50 pounds Frequently lift 0-10 pounds Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods Frequently lift up to 25 lbs.
