Surgical Technician - Orthopedic Operating Room

Overview The Surgical Technologist (ST) is responsible for facilitating the surgical procedure through the assembly of instrumentation, equipment and supplies. The ST works as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of a registered nurse, with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and other medical support personnel to provide patient care in a manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of the Surgical Services department and Swedish Medical Center. Responsibilities Assemble instrumentation, equipment and supplies for surgical procedures and support sterile technique and patient safety throughout operations. Support the surgical team under the supervision of a registered nurse during operative procedures. Required Qualifications Certificate of completion of a surgical technician vocational program or documentation of equivalent training. Washington Surgical Technologist Registration upon hire. National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire. Preferred Qualifications 6 months of experience in a hospital operating room. Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $37.62 - $57.43.
