About the Position

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Cardiac ICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Ability to critically think through complex situations Description: Fast-paced Cardiac ICU environment. Unit focuses on bedside shift report and intentional hourly rounding. Looking for highly motivated nurses. Candidates should be ready and willing to ask questions and seek out resources. Open to learning new things. Community is culturally diverse. Candidates should embrace differences and provide high-quality care. Patient experience is a priority. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:2 with occasional 1:1 assignments. RNs are required to titrate drips. Common diagnoses include sepsis, STEMI, COVID, stroke, and respiratory failure. Charge nurse on each shift takes an assignment. Nurse aides/patient care techs are available with a ratio of 1:10. RNs are required to read and interpret telemetry strips. Weekend requirements are every other weekend. Floating to other areas in the facility may occur based on abilities. Scrub color for RNs is navy blue. Looking for candidates who can provide the highest quality of care to all patients. Additional time off requests need to be provided upfront. Client can cancel shifts as per the cancellation policy. Charting system used is EPIC.
