Position Overview OMG currently operates in two Divisions: OMG Roofing Products and FastenMaster®. OMG's Roofing Products Division is a leading manufacturer and global supplier of high-performance, Factory Mutual-approved products for the commercial roofing industry. We manufacture highly engineered roofing fasteners, insulation adhesives and roof drains and supply other rooftop components. OMG's RhinoBond Membrane Fastening System is the fastest growing method of single-ply attachment in the commercial roofing industry. The Product Application Specialist is at the forefront of enhancing the user experience with this innovative fastening system, the most efficient and effective method of attaching a modern single-ply roofing system to a commercial building. In this key role, the Product Application Specialist works directly with customers and our Sales Team to support the growth of the RhinoBond product category. Critical to success will be collaborating with the Sales, Marketing, and New Product Development & Innovation teams to drive continuous improvements, maintain a leading competitive market position and ensure long-term growth. Position Responsibilities
- Promote Safety as the Number One Priority of all OMG employees.
- Serve as the go-to expert on RhinoBond's features, benefits, and technical specifications.
- Identify customer training needs and enhance performance through coaching and training sessions.
- Innovate training methods and integrate support into daily job functions.
- Assist customers in achieving goals with RhinoBond, providing detailed technical consultations.
- Build relationships with decision-makers and develop a reputation as a subject matter expert.
- Communicate customer needs and industry demands internally for future product enhancements.
- Collaborate with Sales to develop targeted responses to product performance concerns.
- Establish a communication and feedback loop to gather insights and drive market share growth.
- Resolve customer complaints and strategize with Sales leadership to appeal to potential clients.
- Train field Sales resources to effectively pitch product features and demonstrate applications.
- Work closely with product management and new product development to understand new features and upcoming releases.
- Coordinate lead generation efforts with Product Managers and Marketing.
- Perform additional tasks assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in a business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) preferred.
- Sales experience in roofing or construction products and applications.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills with ability to persuade others.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, including international travel.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, handle objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and MS Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint).
- Positive attitude and sound judgment.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
- Ability to talk and hear, walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to access roofs up to 60 feet in height using ladders or other similar tools.
- Bachelor's Degree in a business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) preferred.
