Job Title: Lighting Hardware Engineer
Location: Allen Park, Michigan
Expertise: Automotive Exterior Lighting, Hardware & Power Electronics
Job Summary:
- Develop automotive exterior lighting hardware for headlamps, signaling lamps, and rear combination lamps .
- Handle end-to-end hardware development from architecture through production readiness.
- Design system-level power architectures and LED driver strategies (linear vs. switching).
- Work within EMI, thermal, cost, and functional safety constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop hardware for automotive exterior lighting systems.
- Implement LED driver and power electronics architectures .
- Support ASIL QM/A/B functional safety requirements.
- Integrate CAN-FD and LIN communication.
- Perform Worst Case Circuit Analysis (WCCA) and component derating.
- Conduct thermal and reliability analysis , including DFMEA and MTBF .
- Drive pre-compliance and compliance EMC testing .
- Troubleshoot conducted and radiated emissions .
- Resolve EMC issues through PCB layout, filtering, and architectural changes .
- Ensure hardware meets production-readiness and reliability requirements.
