What youll doThe VP, Commercial Financial Management is a key leadership role within the Business unit and acts as a trusted strategic partner to the Business Head and leadership team, combining financial excellence, strategic influence and commercial insight. This role goes beyond traditional finance and requires a well-balanced leader who combines strong financial process discipline with the ability to influence strategic decisions, support M&A activities, and drive business performance. The VP, Commercial Financial Management plays a critical role in supporting growth, shaping the business unit strategy, and enabling value creation through strategic pricing governance and excellence in business planning. This full-time, on-site position is based at our headquarters in Westlake, Ohio. Financial Operations & Planning ExcellenceAct as senior finance partner to the SBU leadership team and be the first point of contact for all finance-related questionEnsure robust, efficient and accurate financial processes including analyzing & presenting monthly financial results incl. gap analysisDrive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy and financial transparencyOwn and coordinate annual planning and investment processIdentify leading and lagging indicators for business performancePropose gap closing measures in collaboration with business teamsEnsure business planning runs smoothly and efficiently across SBUStrategic Business Partnering and LeadershipCo-pilot the SBU as a trusted sparring partner on strategic & financial topics to Business Head and Leadership TeamBe an active and influential member of the leadership teamProvide forward-looking insights, risks and opportunities on growth, competitiveness and performanceChallenge and influence strategic decisions, assumptions and prioritiesDrive transformational initiatives to shape and refine Business Unit strategy, portfolio direction, and organizationLook for areas of synergy, improvement, and scalability to drive efficiencies, create impact, and increase speedDrive Performance accountability across the organizationM&A and High Impact DecisionsPlay a key role in high-impact business decisions, including: - Capital Investments - M&A Activities (due diligence, evaluation, integration) - Major commercial/contract decisionsPartner cross-functionally to asses and execute M&A opportunitiesSupport value creation and post-deal integrationTeam & CultureLead and align regional and global teamsBuild a strong performance culture and common agendaCoach business leaders on financial and commercial decision-makingWhat makes you a good fitHigh profile university degree, preferably with major in business / finance / accounting 10+ years of professional experience in commercial finance leadership roleProven track record in:Business partnering at senior leadership level & exceptional communication skillsInfluencing high impact strategic decisions/strategic thinking (e.g. consulting or corporate strategy background)Financial operations and planning excellenceAbility to combine strategic thinking with operational executionStrong Analytical skills with forward looking mindset and business acumenDirect and indirect Leadership and team player mentalityHands-on experience in M&A (due diligence and/or integration) strongly preferableSuccess in the first 12 months will include:Stabilizing and enhancing financial processesBuilding strong partnership with Business Head and Business Unit teamsCocreating and detailing out strategic direction of the Business unit together with the Full Leadership teamContributing to key strategic and M&A initiativesImproving forecasting and planning quality for demandSupporting development of pricing governance and commercial capabilitiesSome perks of joining HenkelThe salary for this role is $250,000.00-$275,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range.
