Position Summary:The Batch Maker is responsible for manufacturing and blending products according to established formulas, production procedures, and quality standards. This role involves handling bulk chemicals, monitoring batch processes, packaging finished products, and maintaining accurate production documentation while following all safety and housekeeping requirements.Key Responsibilities:Batch Making & BlendingManufacture and blend products according to established formulas and production instructionsTransfer bulk chemicals, liquids, powders, and solids from pails, bags, and drums into mixing equipmentAccurately measure, weigh, and calculate chemical additionsMonitor batches throughout the blending process and make adjustments to maintain product specificationsEnsure batches meet quality and production requirementsClean and rinse mixers, tanks, and production equipment between batchesComplete and maintain accurate production records, batch logs, and documentationPackagingFill finished products into pails, drums, and totesAccurately weigh finished containers to ensure proper fill weightsApply correct labels to all finished productsForward completed production documentation to the appropriate departmentSafety & ComplianceFollow all company safety policies, work procedures, and housekeeping standardsHandle chemicals safely and properly store raw materialsWear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all timesInspect equipment, tools, and workstations to ensure they are in safe operating conditionMaintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work areaJob Requirements:Previous experience in batch making, blending, mixing, or chemical manufacturing preferredAbility to accurately measure, weigh, and calculate material quantitiesStrong attention to detail and ability to follow written formulas and proceduresExperience handling bulk chemicals, powders, and liquid materials is preferredAbility to complete production documentation accuratelyMust be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environmentAbility to lift, move, and handle pails, bags, drums, and other production materialsWillingness to work overtime and Saturdays as requiredStrong commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork
