Position Overview

Academic Endocrinologist

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: $220,000.00 – $230,000.00

Assistant Professor/Clinical, Adult Endocrinology, non‑tenure track full‑time faculty appointment in the Division of Endocrinology of the Department of Medicine at the Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio, San Antonio, TX. This role is intended for a candidate with a strong interest in developing an academic career.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care at University Hospital and outpatient care at UT Health San Antonio’s Gateway and the new Multispecialty and Research Hospital.
• Engage in clinical research and teaching across multidisciplinary disciplines.
• Collaborate with the adjacent VA Hospital and participate in the Division’s outstanding clinical fellowship program.

Qualifications

• MD or DO, board eligible or certified.
• Licensed or eligible to be licensed in Texas.
• Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency and endocrinology fellowship.
• Strong interest in an academic career; commitment to service, teamwork, and teaching.
• Foreign national candidates meeting federal and university immigration requirements are eligible to apply.
