Job Summary And Responsibilities As our National Resident RN, you will experience a dynamic and supportive residency, receiving personalized attention to foster long-term success and cross‑training across our interconnected nursing units. Every day you will deliver individualized patient care by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, administering treatments, monitoring vital signs, and educating patients and families, all while embracing varied nursing tasks. To be successful in this role, you will actively engage in our comprehensive, evidence‑based residency program, utilizing clinical orientation, practice, and mentorship. You will demonstrate a passion for learning and teamwork within a collaborative, patient‑centered environment. Evidence‑based Practice (EBP) and Patient Care: Builds skills to utilize current evidence‑based practice knowledge, the nursing process, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills to provide holistic care to individuals across the lifespan and throughout the care continuum. Interprofessional Collaboration and Communication: Learns to collaborate and communicate with the interprofessional team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. To qualify, must have CA RN license by: 8/17/26 NNRP Program start date: Monday, 10/5/26 Internal Employees: In‑person interview day – One Day Only – Friday, 7/24/26 Job Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an associate’s degree in nursing; Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred Zero (0) – twelve (12) months of professional nursing (RN) experience Active license as a registered nurse (RN) in the state in which s/he will be practicing or the state of primary residency if the state is a nurse licensure compact state Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) Additional certifications may be required based on population(s) served and services provided Must be able to complete entire program with a perfect attendance record Must be able to work three (3) days per week after completing first twelve (12) weeks Must be able to work and train on either night or day shifts including holidays Must agree to terms and conditions of the program Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association Where You'll Work Founded in 1967, Dignity Health – Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 377‑bed, acute‑care, nonprofit hospital located in Carmichael, California.
