Location: Fremont, California (On-site)

Contract Length: A pproximately 1 year, with potential for extension


Role Overview

This position requires the performance of inspections, checks, testing, and sampling procedures for product manufacturing processes. The role involves carrying out inspections for packaging lines and manufacturing, as well as sampling and testing incoming components and raw materials to ensure company standards are met. The successful candidate will also monitor critical equipment and instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of machined parts and assemblies for conformance to specifications using precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records to support quality control procedures.
• Create Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) upon identification of defects.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation associated with the order.
• Communicate inspection results to production teams and management.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable quality standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Work closely with the production team to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Required Qualifications

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a quality control inspector role, preferably in a machine shop environment. Must be able to follow instructions and procedures and work with minimal supervision.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and equipment, with familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Hands-on ZEISS CMM expertise is required, including the ability to develop and run Calypso programs and validate measurement results against drawing tolerances.

Preferred Qualifications

• An associate degree in a technical field is preferred.
• Quality control certifications, such as an ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), would be an advantage.
• A solid understanding of quality control standards (ASME, ANSI) and regulations in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.

Work Environment

This role requires the ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods.
