Job Description Robotics Technician Location: Detroit, MI
Type: Contract to Hire We're looking for a hands-on Robotics Engineer to support industrial automation, robotics, and machine vision projects. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with equipment, and learning new technologies. What You'll Do
• Support robotic and machine vision systems from development through installation and startup
• Troubleshoot robots, cameras, sensors, automation equipment, and related systems
• Assist with programming, testing, commissioning, and system validation
• Work directly with customers and engineering teams to solve technical problems
• Travel to customer sites for installation and startup as needed What We're Looking For
• Experience, education, internships, or hands-on exposure to robotics, automation, controls, mechatronics, or a related technical field
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
• Someone who enjoys building, fixing, troubleshooting, and figuring out how things work
• Ability to learn unfamiliar technology and become self-sufficient
• Comfortable working both in a lab and on a manufacturing floor
• Willingness to travel for customer projects Helpful, but not required: FANUC robotics, Cognex or Keyence vision systems, PLCs, industrial automation, or machine vision experience. A four-year engineering degree is not required . We're open to candidates ranging from early-career to experienced engineers who could eventually lead projects.
