Role Description The Art Director role at Blu is a full-time, on-site position based in Hoover, AL. The Art Director will lead the visual development of campaigns and projects, guiding concept creation, design direction, and brand expression across digital and print channels. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing graphic design work, collaborating with copywriters, strategists, and account teams, and ensuring that all creative output aligns with client objectives and brand standards. This role will involve presenting concepts to internal stakeholders and clients, supervising the production of graphics and layouts, and maintaining a consistent visual identity across all deliverables. The Art Director will also mentor design team members, provide constructive feedback, and help refine processes to improve creative quality and efficiency. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Creative Direction and Art Direction skills to lead concept development and guide visual storytelling. Candidates should possess Branding and Graphic Design skills to build and maintain cohesive brand identities across media. Candidates should possess Graphics skills to oversee the creation of high-quality visual assets for digital and print channels. Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Visual Communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Proven experience in an agency or in-house creative environment, with a portfolio showcasing impactful, original work. Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud applications) and familiarity with digital and social media formats. Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
