Senior Distinguished Engineer, Manufacturing, Heart Failure Systems

Senior Distinguished Engineer position leading the technical strategy and development of implantable heart failure management systems. The role encompasses product development, manufacturing scale-up, and commercialization across a multi-generational portfolio of sensors, devices, and software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and system ownership for Heart Failure Management platform including sensors, devices, and software
• Establish and drive manufacturing technology strategy enabling scalability, operational excellence, and next-generation capabilities
• Define manufacturing strategies through Design for Excellence, automation, process validation, and quality initiatives
• Serve as senior technical expert for complex engineering challenges, root cause investigations, and regulatory submissions
• Mentor engineering talent and shape long-term technology vision to accelerate innovation and patient impact

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science with 15+ years as technical leader for complex medical devices
• Experience with implantable sensors, Class III devices, and advanced manufacturing technologies from concept to commercialization
• Demonstrated success leading new product development, process development, and manufacturing transfer
• PhD or Master's in Electrical, Software, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (preferred)
• Deep expertise in cardiovascular implantable devices, heart failure, or remote patient monitoring systems
• Strong systems engineering background with Design Controls and verification & validation experience
• Ability to balance clinical needs, manufacturability, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements

Compensation: $191,000-$271,000 base
