Job Summary
Telemetry (TELE) Nurse Night Shift Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized telehealth nursing care in an acute care setting, primarily for patients awaiting hospital bed placement. The role requires strong cardiac tele skills and the ability to manage cardiac drips according to physician orders. The assignment includes working nights, weekends, and rotating holidays, with opportunities for self-scheduling.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Valid BLS and ACLS certifications. Must have at least 2 years of clinical experience as a Telemetry nurse, with proven cardiac tele skills and the ability to decrease cardiac drips per physician orders.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM) with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Includes rotating weekends (four per schedule) and holidays.
• Responsibilities: Care for patients from the Emergency Department awaiting hospital bed placement, perform vitals, IV starts, medication administration, and interpret EKG strips. Nurses may assist with ED patients as needed but are not primary RN for ED patient assignments.
• Additional Requirements: Passing a dysrhythmia exam through UNA (with a maximum of two attempts) prior to start; pass/fail simulation lab on first day of orientation; float to medical-surgical and overflow units as required.
• Submission Requirements: Licenses and certifications must be current and valid for the state of assignment.
