Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Tallahassee, Florida. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 16 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary The Medical Surgical (MS) Nurse is based in a healthcare facility located in Tallahassee. This position involves providing patient care in a trauma level 2, teaching facility that functions as a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center. The RN will be assigned to the 6A Ortho/Trauma Unit, with responsibilities including float coverage across all units within the medical surgical division, ensuring high-quality patient care under dynamic clinical settings. Job Details Position Description: RN for 6A Ortho/Trauma Unit; floating required within the medical surgical division; weekend and holiday requirements. Certifications and Education: BLS certification; FL license (or compact license). At least 2 years of specialty experience; prior travel experience of at least 1 assignment. Phlebotomy experience is required. EPIC training will be provided during the second half of the day at orientation, with testing opportunities available. Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week. Additional Requirements: Must not have a Tallahassee address to be considered. No block scheduling, holiday RTO of no more than 7 days, with approval needed for more than 4 days. No travel pairs for Medical Surgical or Tele units unless specifically requested. Responsibilities: Providing direct patient care, performing phlebotomy, completing EPIC training, and adhering to hospital protocols within a teaching, trauma, stroke, and chest pain center. Submission: Candidates must be available to start on 09/28/2026 and work through 01/16/2027 with the specified shift.
