SOLIDWORKS Application Engineering Manager

Location: Grand Rapids, MI (hybrid, 3+ days a week in office)

Pay: $95,000–$115,000 base salary plus performance bonus

SWYFT Solutions helps engineering and manufacturing companies drive innovation. As a SOLIDWORKS reseller and solutions provider, we teach and implement the newest engineering technology for growing U.S. companies that own their designs and value trusted expertise.

This is a player-coach role. You'll lead our technical delivery team and stay hands-on with clients. At the start, about 60% of your time goes to client work: implementations, demos, and solving hard technical problems. The rest goes to leading the team and improving how we deliver. As the team grows, the balance shifts toward leadership.

This role reports to our Vice President and sits on SWYFT's leadership team from day one, helping set company priorities and solve issues across sales, marketing, and delivery.

Lead delivery

• Lead and coach the technical support team, and run our weekly delivery meetings
• Own delivery performance: support response, onboarding timelines, and client satisfaction
• Build and improve our processes for onboarding, implementation, escalations, and capacity
• Use AI to improve how the team delivers, and help clients do the same
• Serve on the leadership team: set quarterly priorities and solve cross-functional issues

Onboard and implement

• Take new clients from purchase to go-live
• Plan and deliver 3DEXPERIENCE platform implementations, including platform setup, user roles and access, and data management workflows
• Deliver training and coaching that helps clients get real value from SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE

Support sales

• Run technical demos and discovery calls alongside our account executives
• Judge solution fit, including telling Sales when a deal isn't a fit

Solve hard problems

• Handle escalated support issues and work with Dassault Systèmes support to resolve them
• Keep the team current on product updates that affect clients

Required

• 8+ years of hands-on SOLIDWORKS experience
• Leadership experience: you've managed people or led a team and held it accountable to results
• SOLIDWORKS PDM or 3DEXPERIENCE platform implementation or administration experience
• Experience helping others adopt SOLIDWORKS or 3DEXPERIENCE, such as leading training, a software rollout, or technical presentations, whether for clients or for engineering teams inside your company
• Clear communication with both engineers and business owners
• Hands-on experience using AI to improve your own or your team's work, with examples you can show

Preferred

• SOLIDWORKS Simulation (FEA) experience; Flow Simulation (CFD) is a plus
• Experience leading a delivery, support, or services team
• Engineering or design experience in a manufacturing or product development company
• Experience with both SOLIDWORKS PDM and 3DEXPERIENCE
• CSWP certification
• SOLIDWORKS reseller experience
• Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM or ticketing system
