About the Job Danone is a global leader in healthy food through its three businesses: Essential Dairy and Plant Based Products, Waters, and Specialized Nutrition. Leveraging equity investments as a tool, we help facilitate value‑creating partnerships between Danone and start‑ups. The DV Legal Intern will support DV and the DV team in establishing new and managing existing strategic projects. Working closely with DV's legal team and fully immersed within a business environment, this role offers first‑hand exposure to corporate venture capital, innovative start‑ups, and a wide variety of business models and topics while working on the design and implementation of strategic investments at global level. The internship lasts 9 to 12 months and begins in the second half of 2026. The position is based in New York. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation, structuring, and implementation of investment and collaboration projects within a cross‑functional team. Participate in legal and regulatory due diligence, and engage in discussions with potential target companies and legal counsel. Review, analyze, and summarize financing and shareholders' agreements. Engage with financial, business and strategic topics as part of investment assessments and portfolio companies' management. Support legal reporting relating to portfolio companies in direct connection with various internal stakeholders. Manage legal initiatives supporting the general operations of DV, including contributing to the design and implementation of internal policies and processes, and drafting templates. Assist with legal and regulatory projects involving portfolio companies. Conduct research and in‑depth analysis of new potential investment territories aligned with DV's investment thesis and Danone's strategic priorities. Coordinate certain projects with Danone internal stakeholders. Utilize MS Excel and PowerPoint for communication with the team. Present internship projects to the team. About You Legal degree from or currently enrolled in a top‑tier law school in France, with a focus on business/corporate/contract law; having both civil and common law backgrounds is a plus. Business or finance academic background, providing an understanding of the financial, business and accounting mechanics underlying investment decisions and documentation. Experience in the corporate department of a law firm or the legal department of a large company. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and in French, and comfort working in an international environment. Critical thinker who pays attention to detail and can tackle and summarize complex issues. Interest in pursuing a wide range of tasks with a high level of accountability; curiosity about a wide variety of topics. Ability to work autonomously with a self‑starter mindset and develop the execution roadmap and follow‑through for projects. Strength working with Microsoft Office Suite programs. Comfortable working in a team environment with business leaders across all levels.
