Director, Global Transaction Banking

Director, Global Transaction Banking at TD Securities (USA) LLC, New York, NY (F/T) JOB DUTIES: Develop a corporate banking portfolio/business, maximizing profitability while maintaining and enhancing the Banks profile and market share. Originate, execute, and close new trade opportunities for existing or prospective borrowing clients. Lead relationship development activities, including facility/transaction pricing, term sheet negotiation, credit approval, and execution. Leverage market data, economic information, key industry developments, and regulatory standards to inform business decision-making. Ensure transactions are fully documented, processed accurately and timely, and executed within approved limits. Develop and maintain contacts with market participants. Undertake progressive responsibility for managing the performance of a team/ team members. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Accounting, Financial Management, or related field, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered, as Corporate Banking Associate, Vice President, or related position involving corporate banking within a major financial institution. Full term of experience must include each of the following: Identifying trade prospects and originating, executing, and closing on trade opportunities; Organizational lending and portfolio management policies and objectives, and financial solution products and services; International trade finance and related products; Transaction banking products, credit and risk processes, and pricing philosophy; Preparing pitch materials and/or pitching trade opportunities to prospects; Client relationship management; Managing and interpreting data sets; CRM software, including Salesforce, and sales enablement tools; and, Onboarding new clients inclusive of KYC (Know Your Customer) guideline requirements. Must have two (2) years of experience in training and developing junior talent in the financial services sector; and, experience in one or more of the following sectors: paper, packaging, and building materials, automotive, municipal product groups. Position requires approx. 25% travel, primarily to client sites within North America. Telecommuting may be permitted within commuting distance pursuant to company policy.
