This philosophy serves as an unwavering commitment to the customer, supplier, and shareholder, and it serves as the foundation for one of the strongest employee-employer partnerships in American industry.WAVE is currently looking for a Materials Planner to join our team!Salary Range: $67,442 - $84,367 (not inclusive of quarterly profit sharing)Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Primary responsibility of the Materials Planner is to manage flow and inventory of raw materials to support our production plan.Manage on a daily basis: Manage raw material inventory, obsolescence inventory and scheduled cycle counting.Communicate, identify & mitigate risks to the production planPlanning of the production schedule for assigned lines through BPCS & SAPPromote company culture and commitment to safetyManage on a weekly basis: Adjust raw material priorities to align with the weekly extended plan (4 to 6 weeks)Manage material rejects through suppliersIdentify & mitigate production constraints (manpower, raw material flow) with leadership teamManage on a monthly basis: Report on key metric performance for service, costs, inventory and plant performanceDrive process improvement throughout our supply chainAssist with project management of capital or strategic activitiesOrganizational Alignment:Reports to Supply Chain ManagerBusiness Partner to Planners and the Steel Processing ManagerQualifications and Education Requirements (Minimum Qualifications):College degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or equivalent work experience preferred.Three years of experience in supply chain, production planning, manufacturing management or relatedStrong ownership and attention to detail, highly organized and capable of solving practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists.Commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles in a time-sensitive environment. Ability to prioritize multiple work streams while remaining calm in a fast-paced department.Excellent verbal and written communication.
