Serta Simmons Bedding is hiring experienced Forklift Operators for our Houston manufacturing plant! We're looking for safety-focused, dependable team players who thrive in a fast-paced production environment and are ready to grow with an industry-leading company. In this role, you'll help keep operations moving by loading/unloading materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting daily production needs within our manufacturing facility.

Load/unload trucks and move materials throughout the plant using a forklift

Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and enter data into the system

Organize and stock raw materials while maintaining a clean work area

Perform daily forklift safety and maintenance checks

Follow all safety, housekeeping, and operational procedures

Read and follow work instructions, schedules, and production tickets

Communicate effectively and work in a fast-paced team environment

Qualifications:

Comfort with utilizing Microsoft Office Systems/ Technology- including Outlook and Excel

Prior forklift experience required (2+ years)

Strong organizational skills and hand-eye coordination

Ability to adapt to change and support continuous improvement

Team-oriented with a customer-focused mindset

What You'll Bring:

Basic English reading and writing skills required

Must be at least 18 years old

2+ years of forklift experience required

Manufacturing and/or pneumatic tool experience preferred

Ability to work safely in a fast-paced team environment

Must be able to multi-task, take initiative, and work independently

Availability to work 2nd shift (3pm-12am) and occasional Saturday availability as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Must stand and walk for 8+ hours per shift

Ability to lift up to 120 lbs repeatedly during shifts (team lift required for heavy loads)

Ability to maintain pace in a make-to-order production environment

Work Environment:

Safety-focused manufacturing facility with Lean/Continuous Improvement practices

Exposure to high noise levels, heat, raw materials, and limited chemicals

PPE required and provided by the company
