Job DescriptionStaff Pharmacist – Evening ShiftDepartment: PharmacyReports To: Pharmacy ManagerSchedule: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM, with rotating weekends and holidaysJob SummaryWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. This position plays an important role in supporting daily pharmacy operations and ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant dispensing of medications to the patients and facilities we serve.The Staff Pharmacist will work under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and collaborate closely with pharmacy technicians, facility nursing staff, prescribers, and other members of the pharmacy team to provide excellent service and maintain an efficient workflow.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret and verify prescription orders for accuracy, appropriateness, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.Provide excellent customer service and clinical support to prescribers, facility nurses, patients, and other healthcare professionals contacting the pharmacy.Support daily pharmacy operations and serve as a resource to pharmacy technicians.Prioritize and manage pharmacy workflow to ensure prescriptions are completed accurately and in accordance with scheduled delivery times.Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of sterile IV products and solutions, as applicable.Document pharmacy communications and clinical interventions within the patient record.Identify and report medication-related errors and adverse drug events to the Pharmacy Manager.Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure production goals, quality standards, and service expectations are met.Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.QualificationsPharmD or RPh with an active pharmacist license in good standing.Strong working knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication dispensing.Previous long-term care (LTC) pharmacy experience preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with Framework and ECM pharmacy software is preferred.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance.Adaptable, dependable, and willing to learn new responsibilities.Skills & AttributesWe are looking for someone who is:Hardworking and customer-focusedPositive and professionalA strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skillsA collaborative team playerSelf-motivated and goal-orientedA quick learner who can adapt to changing prioritiesComfortable working in a fast-paced pharmacy environmentScheduleThis is an evening shift position working 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays.Physical RequirementsThis position requires standing and/or walking for approximately 7–10 hours per day.
