Location: 4 West 125th Street, New York, NY, 10027. Requires community-based travel to all 5 boroughs. Job Summary CASES seeks a Therapist for the Assertive Community Engagement & Success (ACES) Team. The Therapist will provide trauma‑informed, community‑based clinical services to enrolled participants—young men ages 16‑24 who are high‑risk and system‑involved in East Harlem or the South Bronx. The role focuses on engaging these individuals in positive relationships, helping them acquire life, education, and employment skills, and overcoming barriers such as violence, trauma, racism, gangs, incarceration, truancy, and unemployment. Position is full‑time, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (35 hours per week excluding breaks). In‑person and in‑community work is primary; remote work may be used for note drafting after community engagement. Salary: $73,000 per year. Responsibilities Provide individual counseling to participants at home, in community settings, or in office. Maintain a small 1:1 therapy caseload. Support youth in building coping skills, emotional regulation, and positive decision‑making. Collaborate with program staff to align services and support youth progress. Facilitate workshops or small groups on topics such as anger management, conflict resolution, and healthy relationships. Work with family support systems when appropriate. Collaborate with team members for real‑time support in crisis or escalated moments and high‑needs cases. Maintain up‑to‑date documentation in databases and trackers. Maintain ongoing communication with partners. Participate in professional development training to better equip yourself to support the program and participants. Qualifications LMSW or LPHM required; licensed in New York State. Minimum 2‑3 years of experience providing clinical services to hard‑to‑reach young adults. Experience working with systems‑involved or high‑risk youth preferred. Ability to build authentic and consistent relationships. Experience with group facilitation and crisis response.
