Position: Travel RN - Med/Surg / Ortho Trauma Unit

Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM

Location: Lewisville, TX

Unit Overview

The Ortho Trauma Unit is a specialized unit designed to provide comprehensive care to orthopedic and trauma patients. This unit features:

Number of Beds: 32
Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4-5 Nurses (RN/LVN mix), 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4-5 Nurses (RN/LVN mix), 2-3 Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)
Patient Ratios: 1:6
Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, Welch Allyn Vital Signs machines
Electronic Medical Records: Meditech

Responsibilities

As a Travel RN in the Med/Surg Ortho Trauma Unit, you will:

Provide direct patient care and support during their recovery process.
Assist with ambulation and wound care as needed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure a high standard of care.
Participate in the admission and discharge process, working alongside the dedicated team.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Required:
- BLS certification
- At least 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
Preferred:
- Charge Nurse experience
- Preceptor experience
