About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President for Banking Compliance, who will also serve as the HMDA and CRA Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the compliance program across various banking sectors, including deposit operations, consumer and commercial banking, and lending. This pivotal role involves leading Fair Lending oversight, advising senior leaders on regulatory risk, and ensuring the resolution of compliance issues. The VP will oversee the Compliance Management System, provide guidance on deposit and lending activities, and lead the bank's HMDA and CRA task forces. Additionally, the role includes direct involvement in HMDA data quality, validation, reporting, and the annual LAR submission, as well as guiding CRA performance monitoring and exam preparation. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' of experience in bank compliance, risk management, or audit, with a focus on HMDA, CRA, and Fair Lending programs. A strong knowledge of banking regulations and the ability to work with regulators is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience with a growing bank in the $1B–$10B asset range and a preference for CRCM certification. The role requires the ability to explain complex requirements, influence stakeholders, and ensure the resolution of compliance issues. The VP will also be expected to present compliance risks and program updates to senior leadership, the Risk Committee, and the Board.
