Speech-Language Pathologist | School-Based Evaluations Only

Chattanooga, TN | $65 per hour.

Evaluations only. No ongoing therapy caseload. Flexible scheduling around school needs.

LightHouse Therapy is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to conduct evaluations for preschool and school-age children in Chattanooga-area schools. Focus on assessment, eligibility recommendations, and report writing, with evaluation volume and timing based on school needs.

LightHouse Therapy is owned and led by a practicing SLP who actively treats children. Our owner understands the day-to-day clinical work firsthand and is available for questions and collaboration.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and reevaluations for preschool and school-age students.
• Select, administer, score, and interpret appropriate standardized assessments.
• Assess articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, and social communication as appropriate.
• Review educational, developmental, and therapy records, gather parent and teacher input, and complete observations as needed.
• Prepare clear, thorough reports that explain findings and their educational impact.
• Collaborate with school teams and participate in evaluation and eligibility meetings as needed.
• Complete evaluations and documentation within required timelines and applicable Tennessee special education requirements.

What You’ll Bring:

• A master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• A current Tennessee Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• A current Tennessee Professional School Service Personnel License with the appropriate Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and report-writing skills.
• The ability to independently organize evaluations, manage deadlines, and maintain complete documentation.
• A collaborative approach and clear, respectful communication.
• Experience with school-based evaluations, preschool assessment, Tennessee special education eligibility procedures, and differential diagnosis is preferred.

Schedule and Compensation:

Pay: $65 per hour.
