Title
Registered Nurse - Oncology

Schedule
Shift: 12-hour nights
Weekend coverage: Assigned per unit needs

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Patient ratio: 1:4

Requirements
- Valid RN compact or state license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Mandatory: 1 year of travel RN experience
- Current acute care experience within the specialty within the last 12 months
- EPIC charting experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide specialized oncology emergency care to diverse patient age groups, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Conduct IV starts and maintenance, telemetry monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation.
- Administer emergency medications and perform patient stabilization, including IV vasopressors.
- Care for central lines and administer blood products.
- Perform triage and interpret 12-lead EKG and ABGs.
- Support basic ventilator and BiPAP management.

Compliance / Notes
- COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed).
- Strict compliance deadline for credentialing and fingerprinting is the Tuesday prior to start; timely completion is essential.
- Candidates outside the state may need to travel for fingerprinting.
