MUFG is seeking an experienced Vice President – Rates Trader to join its Global Markets team in Manila.

With an established presence in the Philippine FX and rates market, MUFG continues to expand its capabilities in interest rate trading and risk management solutions across the Philippines and the broader APAC region. This role will play a key part in market-making, risk management, and the delivery of client solutions.

• Join MUFG's growing Trading Desk and contribute to the expansion of its rates franchise across the Philippines and APAC.
• Manage PHP and regional interest rate risk exposures while delivering solutions to clients.
• Work closely with regional trading, sales, and coverage teams across Asia within one of the world's leading financial institutions.

• Manage trading positions and optimize risk-adjusted returns within established risk frameworks.
• Execute trading and hedging strategies across interest rate derivatives, government securities, and other approved products.
• Provide pricing, liquidity, and risk management solutions to clients.
• Monitor market, liquidity, credit, operational, and conduct risks associated with the trading portfolio.
• Analyze macroeconomic developments, central bank policy, and market trends affecting rates products.
• Partner with regional trading desks and product teams to enhance execution capabilities and client offerings.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and governance standards.
• Support strategic initiatives and the development of junior team members.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in rates trading, interest rate derivatives, or related markets within a financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of interest rate swaps, money markets, government securities, and related products.
• Has managed trading portfolios and market risk within established frameworks.
• Understanding of APAC rates markets and regional macroeconomic developments.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to deliver pricing, liquidity, and risk management solutions to clients.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective partnerships across Sales, Treasury, Risk, and Compliance.
• High standards of integrity, professionalism, and risk awareness.
