Position Overview

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will perform residential electrical repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, installations, and replacements while delivering the high-quality customer experience expected from the Mister Sparky® brand.

You will be one of the early members of our local team, which means your work, attitude, communication, and leadership will help set the standard for the company we are building.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install residential electrical systems and equipment.
• Explain findings and recommended options to homeowners in a clear, respectful way.
• Complete each job safely, professionally, and in accordance with electrical codes and company standards.
• Keep accurate job notes, photos, invoices, and other required documentation.
• Work as part of the team while protecting the customer’s home and leaving the work area clean.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a skilled electrician who is strong technically and understands that residential service is about trust. The right person is professional, reliable, customer focused, detail-oriented, coachable, comfortable working independently in customers' homes, and excited to help build a new local business.

Qualifications

• Active Journeyman Electrician license in Michigan required.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on electrical experience.
• Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete work safely and efficiently.
• Knowledge of NEC, state, and local electrical codes.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to use mobile technology for job documentation and communication.
