Psychiatrist - Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Location: Oceanside, CA Schedule: Part-Time. 6-8 hours per week. Pay Rate: $200/hour

Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a Part-Time Psychiatrist to support an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at a hospital in Oceanside, CA. This role will primarily be one day per week, with additional coverage as needed. The Psychiatrist will provide direct patient care, support program operations, and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active California medical license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA certification
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• No prior IOP experience required

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct mental health intake assessments (approximately 12 per day)
• Provide follow-up care for current IOP patients (approximately 67 per day)
• Oversee and participate in weekly team meetings
• Develop and manage individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications
• Collaborate with therapists, case managers, and clinical staff
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
