The candidate will participate in various aspects of the development workflow.The primary focus of this role is to support Design Data Management and Design Automation for System-on-Chip (SoC) projects.Job Responsibilities:Contribute to the development of Microchip’s design data management software.Assist in the implementation and enhancement of design flows and methodologies.Develop and deploy automation scripts to support electronic circuit design.Administer Design Data Management Systems such as DesignSync and ICManage.Research and utilize software tools and libraries to address various tasks, preferably using Python.Debug and maintain existing software tools and systems.Prepare technical documentation.Train users on the adoption of developed solutions.Requirements/Qualifications:Final-year student or recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.0-3 years of professional experience.Strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python or Perl.Experience with common GNU/Linux commands and command-line operations.Familiarity with version control tools (such as GIT, SVN, or CVS) is a plus.Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases is a plus.Exposure to machine learning or artificial intelligence is a plus.Willingness to adopt new development tools to improve collaboration and workflow.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Travel Time:0% - 25%Physical Attributes:Hearing, Seeing, Talking, Works Alone, Works Around OthersPhysical Requirements:80% sitting, 10% standing, 10% walking, 100% insideMicrochip Technology Incis an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
