Principal Cloud Infrastructure Architect

The Principal Cloud Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing, securing, automating, and scaling the cloud platform that powers A8 Core™.

Location Remote (United States) Reports to Chief Architect Team Architecture

The Principal Cloud Infrastructure Architect is responsible for designing, securing, automating, and scaling the cloud platform that powers A8 Core™.

This role owns the cloud foundation upon which every application, API, workflow, AI service, and customer experience depends.

You will define the future-state architecture for Azure, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, platform engineering, observability, resiliency, and disaster recovery while helping modernize a sophisticated financial infrastructure platform supporting highly regulated workloads.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the A8 Core™ cloud platform
• Lead migration to cloud-native infrastructure
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Bicep
• Define AKS platform standards
• Build automated deployment pipelines
• Improve reliability, resiliency, and scalability
• Implement platform observability standards
• Partner with Security and Engineering teams
• Reduce operational complexity and technical debt

Qualifications

Required

• 12+ years of infrastructure engineering experience
• 5+ years of cloud architecture experience
• Strong Terraform experience
• Experience operating production financial systems
• Deep understanding of networking and security
• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices

Preferred

• Custody or banking platform experience
• SRE leadership experience
• SOC 2 and ISO 27001 experience
