Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing primarily on medical-surgical patients.

Job Details:

• Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Charge RN: Will be required to work in a Charge RN capacity as needed
• Float Requirement: May be required to float across multiple locations within the region as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient condition and assess for any changes.
• Utilize Rapid Response teams to ensure patient safety and health.
• Administer blood products, manage peripheral line care, and start IVs.
• Provide medication management, including heparin, insulin, and PCA.
• Administer oxygen via nasal cannula and follow isolation precautions.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and patient care standards.

Qualifications:

• License: Active Registered Nurse license
• Certification: BLS certification required
• Experience: Prior experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit preferred
• Skills: Proficiency in using EPIC for patient management
• EKG Knowledge: Must pass an EKG examination during onboarding
• Patient Ratios: Experience with 1:6 patient-to-nurse ratios
