Description: The position focuses on providing care to Med/Surg and Telemetry patients. Candidates must be willing to float to other units as needed. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend and based on unit needs. The unit cares for a variety of patient demographics including adults and geriatrics. Patients may have conditions like renal issues, cardiac problems, diabetes, or require inpatient hospice care. Candidates should be prepared to manage a patient load of 5-6 patients per nurse. Diverse interdisciplinary support is available from various teams. Additional support will be provided to help manage staffing ratios, which may flex based on needs. Experience with computerized documentation systems is necessary. Skills required include telemetry management, IV management, and wound care. Prior charge experience is preferred but not required.
