Description:
Current need for two full-time CRNAs.
Must be capable of handling cardiovascular and trauma cases.
Anesthetizing sites include 12 operating rooms and 9 non-operating rooms.
The annual number of surgical cases is approximately 9,000.
The anesthesia model involves a care team approach.
The physician-to-CRNA ratio is 1:3.
Physicians handle 99% of supervision, and self-performing cases are uncommon.
Physicians are expected to be present for induction and emergencies.
They also participate in post-operative care and pre-operative evaluations.
Types of cases include Level II Trauma, Orthopedic, Spine, Vascular, limited Neuro, Endoscopy, and Electrophysiology.
No OB or transplant cases are performed.
Shifts are weekdays 9a-7p and 8a-4p, with 12-hour weekend shifts from 7a-7p.
Beeper call is not necessary.
The electronic medical record system for anesthesia charting is Medaxion.
Meditech is used for orders and to review patient records.
Leadership includes a regional medical director, a chief anesthesiologist, and a chief CRNA.
This position is created to fill a vacant role.
