Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients experiencing mood disorders to determine the severity, frequency, and duration of their symptoms. \n
- Collaborate with each client to design personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, bridging therapeutic goals and preferred interventions. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective treatment and support. \n
- Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, including treatment options and self-care techniques, to empower them on their recovery journey. \n
- Continuously monitor client progress by tracking symptoms, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and maintaining thorough, confidential documentation compliant with ethical standards. \n
- Work closely with psychiatrists and other interdisciplinary team members to provide integrated care, ensuring that all aspects of a client's treatment are coordinated. \n
- Stay current with the latest research on mood disorders to incorporate new insights into your therapeutic approach and enhance outcomes. \n
- Participate in team meetings and case consultations to discuss treatment strategies, share best practices, and foster professional development. \n
- Act as an advocate for clients, promoting the de-stigmatization of mood disorders and addressing mental health needs in the community. \n
You will primarily work with individuals diagnosed with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our patient demographics are diverse, reflecting a range of backgrounds, experiences, and age groups. Understanding the unique challenges faced by these clients will be crucial to providing empathetic and effective therapy.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required. \n
- Must possess a current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York. \n
- Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to build rapport with clients from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. \n
- A strong understanding of psychopharmacology and an ability to collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers are essential. \n

- At least two years of post-licensure experience working specifically with mood disorders is preferred. \n
- Familiarity with evidence-based treatment practices like CBT and DBT will be beneficial to succeed in this role. \n
- A track record of achieving successful client outcomes in treating mood disorders is desirable. \n
